Looking for crafts ideas to use leftover strips of fabric?
I have a bunch of fabric strips leftover from a craft of making flip flops. The fabric strips are 1 inch wide by about 6 inches long. Any ideas of other crafts or projects ideas we can use up the leftover strips?
Thanks

Great Art and Craft Ideas for Kid Parties
Kiddie parties should be lively and full of fun activities. Youngsters nowadays are so addicted to simply playing online games. What a pity that these children miss out on other fun activities. It's high time to get their creative juices pumping! Turn off those computers, stuff them in the closet and start a party that is a sure hit. Here are some fun and easy crafts ideas.
1) Homemade party cupcakes
Purchase or bake plain cupcakes. Let the children make their own toppings by supplying them icing in a variety of colors like blue, red, white and yellow. To make the cupcakes unique, add more toppings like sugar flowers, chopped nuts, chocolate chips or fresh fruits. What's best is that they get to eat or bring home their cupcake creations. It's best that you arrange a sizeable work space for this as things could get messy.
2) Eco-friendly gardening
Encourage youngsters to participate in a gardening activity. Just prepare small pots, some painting supplies like paint and paint brushes, soil, seedling, plants or flower buds, transplanting trowels and kid-sized gloves. Make available a work area where the kids can paint the pots with their own designs. Show the children how to plant the plants and how to take care of them. These are perfect party souvenirs that children will cherish for months to come.
3) Customized fashion flip-flops
This next activity is to hone the fashion designer in the child. Simply supply the children with cheap flip-flops of different colors, shapes and sizes. From gift supply store, you can buy some ribbons, glue gun and a assortment of trimmings. Embellishments can range from floral accents, gemstones, colorful beads and feathers. You can choose multiple embellishments or stick to certain ones that are in-line with your party theme (Example: for a luau, choose floral accents and shells). In a workstation, allow the children to pick their flip-flops and embellishments. By using the glue gun, kids can customize their flip-flops as they desire. This is a unique art and craft project they can actually wear.
4) Handmade kiddie accesories
Many children like to wear accessories. Purchase different kinds of beads and elastic threads from a art supply or toy store to make necklaces, bracelets or anklets. One great tip is to find "letter beads" which they can use to spell-out different names. This is a fun activity that kids will enjoy. They can make their own fashion jewelries or design one for their friends.
Don't forget, kiddie parties are all about fun and spontaneity. Provide kids with original and delightful things they will need to make your party a memorable arts and crafts event.
