How can I decorate my classroom for the summer? I was thinking of hanging flip flops, beach balls...need help?
It's my classroom and we can decorate but it must be a summer theme. Everything can either be made or purchased. I don't want to have to many different themes and ideas. I want to stick with one central idea and work along with that.
make it an "at the beach" theme you can do things like:
-buy a few cheap pairs of flip flops and beach balls and hang them around the room for fun.
- make paper cut outs of beach items like bathing suits, sand castles, suns, surf boards, beach wildlife, etc and post them around the room with things like the classroom rules and basic info like the alphabet or other things that would be grade appropriate for you students to know.
-redecorate your cork board with beach pics or special trim you can buy at places like walmart.
-maybe put some seashells around the classroom too
-if students are still in school you can have them draw or do a special age appropriate project about their ideal beach day and use it to decorate the class.
