Whatcha Need:
·1 pair of flip flops
·Piece of ½" or ¼" wide ribbon about 20 inches long
·Silk flowers (available at craft stores)
·Sparkly beads (available at craft stores)
·Colorful buttons (available at craft stores)
·Glitter glue (available at craft stores)
·Safety scissors
·Hot glue gun and glue sticks (available at craft stores)
Here's How to Do It:
1.Decide which decorations to add to your flip-flops. Ribbon? Flowers? Glitter glue? Beads or buttons? Pick just one or mix 'n match a few.
2.Wanna start with ribbon? Cut the ribbon the length of the straps. Ask a grown-up to help you hot glue it to the straps. Let dry.
3.Wanna add sparkly beads or buttons? Ask a grown-up to help you place dots of hot glue (evenly spaced) along the straps. Apply beads or buttons to the drops of glue. Let dry.
4.How 'bout some awesome blossoms? Cut the silk flowers from their stems. Ask a grown-up to help you hot glue small flowers along the straps or one large flower at the front where the straps come to a point. Let dry.
5.Need a glittery touch? Add glitter glue to your decorated straps for extra sparkle. Let dry.
6.Repeat the same design on your other flip flop.
7.Now you're ready to step out in your funky new footwear!
