Need help with Digital Electronics?
Hi im trying to answer a question about creating a circuit with logic gates attached to the input of D-Type Flip Flops. I was just wondering if you could explain the difference between the propagation delay and the data set up time. would be a massive help as i cant tell the difference thanks
The set up time is the time before the clock pulse that the data input changes. This is to avoid problems when the data input is switching during a pulse. The propagation delay is the delay in switching time of the output after a clock pulse. There is a very useful diagram on the wikipedia page.
